ImproLaBergen
ImproLaBergen is a collective of dance artists from the performing arts field in Bergen and Vestland. The goal of the Lab is to share artistic practices in a playful and open forum.
In the Lab, regular workshops are held for and with each other where different choreographic ideas are tested using improvisation as a tool. In addition, the Lab also work with a range of different performance projects and art events such as pop-up shows, festivals, site-specific pieces and other multidisciplinary happenings as part of events such as Dansens Dager, Bergen Fringe Festival, Prøverommet (BIT Teatergarasjen), Sonisk Selskap (Kunsthuset Wrap), Danserom festival and Oktoberdans (BIT Teatergarasjen).
The Lab received an establishment grant in 2021 and 2023 from Bergen Kommune and project support in 2024 and 2020.
